Clear Vision grabs DVD rights to fitness brand

Company to launch Gaiam range in early 2009 including new wellness titles.

Clear Vision is continuing its drive to expand its library of lifestyle, entertainment and sports programming, acquiring the DVD retail, online and digital distribution rights to Gaiam, one of the world's leading lifestyle media companies.

The Gaiam portfolio offers solutions for all aspects of a healthy, positive lifestyle from mind and body programmes through to hardcore cardio weight loss workouts.

Clear Vision is planning to launch the Gaiam range in early 2009, including new wellness titles.

It will work with HAB International, which distributes a wide variety of Gaiam fitness and mind-body kits and accessories.

Gaiam has close to a 50 per cent market share of the US fitness business.

"The Gaiam brand is synonymous with quality lifestyle programming, and Clear Vision's extensive specialist and mainstream distribution reach will ensure best access for customers looking for more than a quick fitness fix," said Paul Murphy, MD of Clear Vision.
