Clifford the Big Red Dog is returning to TV next year following new partnerships between Scholastic and Amazon Prime Vidoe and PBS Kids.

Produced by Scholastic Entertainment, the new series has been brought to life by 100 Chickens and 9 Story/Brown Bag Films and will see the best-selling books series by Norman Bridwell rebooted for its 2019 series.

Still set on Birdwell Island, Clifford the Big Red Dog will offer fresh and colourful new location with a strong emphasis on social-emotional skills such as empathy, along with a solid curriculum designed to boost literacy and encourage imaginative play.

To accompany the launch of the new show, Scholastic Entertainment is developing a global publishing, broadcast, merchandise and licensing programme to help further extend the positive messages of the brand to children and families around the globe.

The first Clifford the Big Red Dog series premiered on PBS Kids in 2000 and has aired in 110 countries around the world.

Scholastic published the first Clifford The Bid Red Dog title in 1963, and today there are more than 133 million Clifford books in print in 16 different languages.
