Clippy London joins Barbie lifestyle push

Mattel is continuing to build up the lifestyle part of the Barbie licensing programme, welcoming Clippy London to the licensee line-up.

Clippy creates unique photo bags and personalised gifts for girls and has already enjoyed succes with a top selling product in Selfridges.

It has worked with Mattel to launch the first collection of Barbie-inspired fashionable 'out to lunch' bags.

The range will be in-store from September and will include Coffee Cuff (a pink and twinkly insulated cup holder), Sandwich Clutch (clutch-sized bag to fit a sandwich), Barbie Baguette fashion bag, Barbi-licious bag and Clippy Yum Yum bag.

"We first noticed Clippy's range last year, and with our shared love of fashion, fun and all things pink it's proved to be an exciting collaboration," said Johanne Broadfield, senior licensing director at Mattel. "There a definite gap in the market for fashionable lunch bags, but Barbie's new collection with Clippy will delight adults, teenagers and children alike."
