Following a successful Mipcom, HoHo Rights' new animated pre-school property Cloudbabies is expanding its global reach, as it prepares to air across Germany in 2014.

The CBeebies' hit show is already being broadcast in a number of territories, including ABC Television in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, Hop in Israel, S4C in Wales, PTS in Taiwan and MiniMini in Poland.

The animated series following the adventures of four characters who look after the sky and the show will now air on ARD and ZDF's children's channel KiKa in Germany.

Danielle Davies, Hoho Entertainment's head of sales and acquistions, said: "Germany is a hugely significant European territory and KiKa has an outstanding reputation as a key destination for high quality pre-school programming so we're delighted that Cloudbabies will soon be part of the channel's stellar line-up."

Sebastian Debertin, KiKA’s head of fiction, acquisition and co-production, added: “KiKA is happy to get up in the skies with the Cloudbabies.

"Baba Pink, Baba Blue, Baba Yellow and Baba Green solve a lot of pre-school oriented challenges and celebrate core values of human community – friendship and responsibility. Our audience will love the show.”

Created by BAFTA and International Emmy award winner Bridget Appleby, Cloudbabies made its debut on CBeebies in the UK in 2012.

The series aims to teach children about caring for others and the world around them while introducing them to the concepts of day and night, sun and moon and rainbows and stars.
