Ice cream vendor Ben & Jerry’s is teaming up with New Belgium Brewing to develop a new Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale.
The beer, which is set to hit shelves in the autumn this year, has also been designed to help raise awareness of climate change.
$50,000 of the proceeds made from the beer will go to Protect Our Winters (POW), a non-profit climate change advocacy charity.
“We are excited to be partnering once again with the good folks at Ben & Jerry’s and POW,” said Jenn Vervier, director of sustainability at New Belgium.
“The beer in development tastes amazing and we look forward to talking about climate change and climate action. With the upcoming election and a new administration, year two is even more important than the first round.”
This isn’t the first time the companies have partnered though, as last year New Belgium launched a Ben & Jerry’s Salted Caramel Brownie Ale.

“This new beer is delicious and unique and the issue of climate change is still increasingly urgent."
