Sales of toy firm's die-cast model exceed seven million; new licensing deal signed.
Publish date:

Toy company Corgi has presented licensing partner EON Productions with a commemorative plaque, after selling more than seven million units of the popular James Bond model car - the Aston Martin DB5.

Corgi has also recently signed a new worldwide master toy and collectible licence with EON. This will allow it to produce and distribute action figures, vehicles, electronic role-play products, die-cast models, high-spec RC items and high-end replicas.

The agreement runs through until 2010 and covers the James Bond classic movie archive, the new Bond film - which is due for release in 2008 - and any other movies released during the term.

Corgi has partnered with EON and the James Bond franchise for more than 40 years.
