Rights agency Copyright Promotions (CPLG) has appointed a new head of business development, who will be focusing on the development of the Fanshirt project.

Stefan Kleine-Erfkamp joins from Swiss-based marketing company Sports & Licensing where, as chairman, he led the successful introduction of Fanshirt into the German football market.

Fanshirt, which allows up to 5,000 fans to have their individual names printed onto their team's playing or replica playing shirt, now has nearly 20 clubs from the Bundesliga involved.

Kleine-Erfkamp will now lead the development of Fanshirt into other markets.

He commented: "Since the Bundesliga allowed a fourth kit in 2007, more and more German clubs have got involved in Fanshirt. I'm very pleased to join Copyright Promotions and it will be a great opportunity to extend Fanshirt partnerships to CPS' brands, across all territories and all sports."

CPS MD Chris Protheroe added: "We are delighted to have Stefan join us. His proven track record in delivering Fanshirt and his ability to take this exciting relationship and revenue-building tool into new markets marks another milestone in our development as a leading sports rights agency."
