Copyright Promotions Licensing Group is continuing to expand its international reach, opening up its first office in Asia.

CPLG Japan is headed up by Hideki Kunugiyama, who will aim to develop and grow the company's current licensing programmes to include Asia.

He will oversee all of CPLG Japan's licensing and merchandise drives for a wide range of properties including Strawberry Shortcake, Caillou, The Doodlebops, Richard Scarry, Inspector Gadget and Metajets among others.

Kunugiyama will also look to expand the firm's portfolio with third party deals.

He will work with Julie Ninomiya, Cookie Jar Entertainment's VP of Asian distribution and co-productions, to sign new co-production partners, increase distribution sales and expand business development efforts in Asia.
