Copyright Promotions Licensing Group has been appointed the pan-European rights agency for RocketBoy and Toro, the comic children's animated series due to appear on CBBC in late 2008.
Aimed at five to eight year-olds, the 2D animated adventure is made up of 52x11-minute episodes. It was created by James Lee, CEO of South Korean production company Imagestone.
The series is co-produced by the UK's Cosgrove Hall Films (Danger Mouse, Fifi and the Flowertots) and Village Productions (Hairy Scary). Both firms have extensive experience in the animation industry in the UK and Europe.
"Rocketboy and Toro are a classic comedy adventure duo," said Vickie O'Malley, MD of CPLG. "This, together with fabulous broadcast placement and the producers' outstanding track record, is a hard to beat combination."
Mark Rowland, director of Village Productions and responsible with Imagestone for the development and financing of RocketBoy and Toro, added: "With their [CPLG's] experience and expertise we will be able to truly see our vision become a marketing, as well as a television, success."
