CPLG continues to expand the England Rugby licensing programme, signing a deal with Wattbike for a new line of branded exercise bikes and floor mats.
The deal with Wattbike will also include training guides and 'Wattbike Challenges' featuring content supplied by England Rugby's own coaching staff.
Wattbike will also be supplying the England Senior squad with their non-impact training tool of choice - Wattbike's calibrated indoor bikes, which deliver accurate, consistent performance data and technical feedback.
"I am excited to bring together these two great brands," said John Taylor, licensing and partnerships director at CPLG. "The England Rugby Wattbike will appeal to rugby fans of all abilities. The next 12 months will see overwhelming interest in the England Rugby brand, with retail partnerships already being formed to maximise the opportunity with the entire country supporting our team in the RWC."
Richard Baker, commercial director at Wattbike, added: "We're delighted to have formed this partnership with England Rugby who are huge advocates of training on a Wattbike.
"England Rugby coaches are forging ahead when it comes to using sport science to deliver the best prepared team ahead of next year's Rugby World Cup and the Wattbike plays an important role in that. The wider rugby community will benefit hugely from this relationship with new training and testing methodologies developed for the Wattbike filtering through to grass roots level.
"We look forward to playing a role in the increasing success of the sport across the globe."
