DQ Entertainment has secured the services of CPLG for the next three years to boost the licensing and merchandising programme for its new 3D animation, The Jungle Book.
The firm will be responsible for all product merchandising, publishing, promotions and direct-to-retail strategy in multiple territories - including the UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Japan.

"We have always believed that the 3D Jungle Book would become a hugely popular TV programme, but for home entertainment, licensing, merchandising and publishing, its success will most likely exceed our expectations.
"We have successfully negotiated nine marquee licensing deals worldwide, with a combined revenue estimate of circa $15 million provided by the licensees."

In addition to the deal with CPLG, DQE has signed a second agreement for fabric products with Belgium-based NV Belltex.
The firm will produce a range of items including tents, duvet covers, sheets, towels, cushions and sleeping bags among others. The deal was signed through DQE's co-production partner TF1 Enterprises, which acts as the licensing and merchandising agent for France.
