CPLG has been appointed as the licensing agent for British Airways.

The firm is now looking for partners in all categories including toiletries, accessories, games, publishing, greetings, art and gifting, as well as travel and pampering experiences and fitness.

In addition to the traditional retail routes, licensees may also have opportunities for in-flight sales and online.

"The depth and prestige of the British Airways brand presents a host of opportunities for licensing," said Vickie O'Malley, MD of CPLG UK. "We are delighted to be working with on of the UK's premium global brands and to have access to fabulous art assets including the British Airways, BEA, BOAC and Imperial Airways' ad campaigns down the years.

"We also plan to use the brand values to work with partners providing experiences, services and products where the BA brands can act as shorthand for the premium level of comfort and service on offer."

Sara Dunham, senior manager, business development, British Airways, added: "We recognise that there is an inherent interest in travel and airlines, and licensing provides an exciting opportunity for British Airways to appeal to a broader consumer market in new environments."
