CPLG takes on Yale University brand

The firm will develop a licensing programme targeting adults, teens and kids across categories including apparel, accessories, bags and stationery.

Yale University has tapped CPLG to represent the university’s brand across Europe and Russia.

The firm will develop a licensing programme targeting adults, teens and kids across categories including apparel, accessories, bags and stationery.

Each product will boast the Yale branding, such as the university’s logo and its world-famous mascot, Handsome Dan the bulldog.

Universal Music Spain has signed up as the first licensee for the brand, with a roll out of men’s apparel in Zara stores worldwide from September 2017.

“Yale University is an iconic brand with global appeal, which lends itself perfectly to the collegiate trend we’re seeing at fashion retailers,” said Steve Manners, executive VP of CPLG.

“We are delighted that the first range of clothing will launch in Zara stores and we look forward to extending the range to the rest of the High Street.”
