A 2x70-piece Horrid Henry puzzle will launch exclusively in Smyths of Ireland in September 2009, while January 2010 will see the launch of a 100-piece Glow In The Dark puzzle and 2x50-piece puzzle assortment.
Commenting on the deal, Rebecca Burton, CPLG’s category manager for toys and gifts, said: "As one of the UK’s biggest puzzles and games manufacturers, Jumbo Games is a fantastic reflection of the significant growth of the Horrid Henry licensing programme in the UK.
“We are very excited to be working with Jumbo on a new and bespoke collection for next year, particularly following the company’s successes on other licensed product ranges."
Gray Richmond, managing director at Jumbo Games added: “Such is Horrid Henry’s popularity that the opportunity to produce some fantastic puzzles and games was irresistible. Horrid Henry is a fantastic brand and we are very excited to add him to our children’s portfolio.”
This latest deal further strengthens CPLG’s UK licensing programme for Horrid Henry. Earlier this year Asylum Entertainment was appointed video game partner and will be bringing games to the Nintendo DS and Wii for Christmas 2009.
Meanwhile, sales of TDP Aykroyds’s range of apparel are going from strength to strength – launched in A/W ‘08 as part of a DTR deal with Mothercare, the range will be rolling out across the High Street and in grocers in Q3 09, to be refreshed for S/S 2010.
