Creative Rights is planning to launch a licensing range for the Cool Camping series in spring 2012, having signed a deal with Punk Publishing for the rights.
Cool Camping: England launched in 2006 and went on to sell more than 80,000 copies in the UK. It led to the creation of the Cool Camping series, which is now the market leader for UK camping guides, with a 42 per cent market share.
Creative Rights - headed up by Richard Scrivener - will offer licensing rights for the brand in the outdoor product sector, initially planning to work with a key retailer in the market on an exclusive basis.
There will also be additional sponsorship opportunities linked to Punk Publishing's other titles, including the upcoming cycle trip guide, Escape Routes, the Cool Camping website and the travel app series, Cool Places.
"As I built the licensing side of the business, I wanted to work with creative, innovative and successful companies," explained Scrivener. "Punk fits the bill perfectly - they have created a 'cool camping' market virtually single handedly. The time is now ripe to extend their brand names into other sectors."
Jonathan Knight, founder of Punk Publishing, added: "We are very excited to be working with the Creative Rights Agency."
