Crystal Maze heads to mobile

Mobile media company Player X bringing back popular 1990s game show.

The Crystal Maze is back, but this time in mobile form after Player X teamed up with Dynamo Games to roll out a new mobile game based on the property.

Endorsed by the iconic presenter Richard O'Brien, the game will roll out later this month. The single player title replicates many of the mini-games featured in the programme - mobile gamers need to collect crystals in 20 different mini-games spread over the four original zones: Aztec, Industrial, Medieval and Future, before trying to avoid being trapped within the Crystal Dome.

"The Crystal Maze was a TV phenomenon in the UK and we're confident it will make a similar impact in the mobile games space," said Tony Pearce, CEO at Player X. "This licence is a perfect fit with our raft of TV game show mobile games."
