The bestseller – written by Conn and Hal Iggulden – has been an international success, and the Rocket team believes that the time is now right to move into a variety of licensed categories.
With more than 750,000 copies sold in the UK alone, the book has been in the bestseller charts for more than a year, while the pocket version has also topped the charts. In the US, it topped the New York Times bestseller list and USA Today called it “the most popular British import since Harry Potter’s debut”.
There has also recently been a bidding war between major studios for the film rights and a TV series is also in development.
“This is a terrific property which we are delighted to be representing,” said joint Rocket MD Charlie Donaldson. “The brand lends itself to product across many key categories including toys, games, gifts, apparel, posters and stationery, and we are building a long-term licensing strategy which will do justice to this fabulous book.”
