DCD Publishing has inked a deal with Carlin Music to licence lyrics from its catalogue.

Artists such as Elvis, Cliff Richard and Black Eyed Peas are included in the firm's library of 150,000 copyrights.

The deal significantly boosts DCD's music division - which got off to a strong start in 2010 with the release of Play That Tune and Puppy Love, a plush puppy which sings the Donny Osmond hit.

"I am completely delighted," said Michael Gottlieb, head of licensing and music merchandising at DCD Publishing. "Carlin Music has some of the best music ever created and will offer lots of different applications to consumer products."
