Disney is planning a fashion-driven lifestyle programme inspired by the forthcoming Tim Burton flick, Alice in Wonderland.
Jewellery designer Tom Binns is the first big name from the fashion world to be involved. His lines will feature two collections influenced by key characters including Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Red Queen, the White Queen and the White Rabbit.
The Tom Binns for Walt Disney Signature line will offer a limited edition collection of six pieces and will range in price from $1,000 to $3,000. Tom Binns for Disney Couture, meanwhile, will boast 35 pieces with prices ranging from $50 to $250. Both collections will debut in spring 2010 in the US and international markets.

"Drawing inspiration from such creative works of art as Alice in Wonderland and collaborating with top designers like Tom Binns, keeps Disney and our characters relevant with tastemakers and serves up an aspirational halo effect with consumers and Disney fans of all ages."
DCP is due to reveal the full line-up of designers involved with the Alice in Wonderland programme soon. Merchandise will also include character-driven lines from collectible toys to home décor, stationery and health and beauty products.
