BBC Magazines is launching a trading card game based on CBBC wildlife programme, Deadly 60.
Hitting retail on August 25th, the game is aimed at six to 12 year olds and includes 165 cards featuring pictures and facts on the creatures from the first two series of the show - which is one of CBBC's most popular factual programmes.
The cards will be sold in packs of eight for 99 pence each, with the collection including Rare shiny cards and Super Rare Rainbow shiny cards, as well as deadly Skull cards, which act as jokers in gameplay.
"Deadly 60 has been a fantastic success on CBBC, encouraging children to find out more about the world's deadliest creatures," said Ceri Murray, head of partworks and collectibles for BBC Magazines. "We are very excited and confident that this new, fun and educational trading card game brings something new to this hugely popular sector of the market."
Marketing activity surrounding the launch includes sampling in other BBC and Egmont children's titles and ads across the BBC Magazines portfolio. There will also be online promotions and competitions.
