Deals mounting for Marathon

Further international sales for key animated properties secured.

Marathon Media has inked more international sales for Monster Buster Club, Famous Five: On The Case and Totally Spies.

The 52x26-minute Monster Buster Club (pictured) has its world premiere on October 29th on TF1 in France and is Marathon's first full 3D animated series. Commissioned by TF1, Jetix Europe and Canada's YTV, it has an E18 million budget.

The show was pre-sold to Super RTL and concluded further deals with Spain's RTVE, Slovenia's RTV, Ireland's RTE, LNK in Lithuania, Arabic network MBC, Radio Canada and Denmark's TV2 at Mipcom.

Discussions are also underway in the US, Italy, Turkey, Singapore, South Africa and Brazil.

Meanwhile, Famous Five: On The Case - co-produced with Chorion in the UK, Disney Europe and France 3 - has been adapted from the children's books. It has been pre-sold to Super RTL in Germany, Belgium's RTBF, Disney Asia and Australia and the Netherlands Jetix. New sales are in the works in Scandinavia, Turkey, Israel, Greece, Lithuania and Belgium.

Finally, Marathon has also secured several sales for the fifth season of Totally Spies. These include Disney Asia, DigiTurk (Turkey), GMTV in the UK, La Forta in Spain, TV12 Singapore, Italy's Mediaset, Oryx in the Middle East, RTE in Ireland, Belgium's RTL TVI and VT4, TSR in Switzerland, TV Globo in Brazil, TV2 Denmark and LNK in Lithuania.

Hungarian and South African networks are also due to come on board in the near future.
