Decode Enterprises has inked two deals with major distribution and licensing partners as it looks to build on the initial success in the UK of Grandpa In My Pocket from Adastra Creative.
Warner Home Video UK has been appointed as DVD partner for the show's first season, while Brandzoo will act as the live action comedy brand's licensing agent.
Grandpa In My Pocket airs on Cbeebies and has already been commissioned for a second series. The show achieved 675,000 viewers at its height (source: Barb) and is almost six per cent up on the 2008 slot average.
"We're in excellent hands with Warner Home Video UK and Brandzoo as we look to build a strong global Grandpa In My Pocket brand," said Josh Scherba, VP of distribution at Decode. "The response to the series from kids and families has been incredible and with standout viewing figures, and a second series commission from Cbeebies, we're looking forward to Grandpa becoming an even more familiar face in UK homes."
Jenny Johnstone, MD of Brandzoo, added: "We are very excited to be working with Adastra and Decode on this wonderful family entertainment show."
