A raft of new partners have signed up for Cbeebies hit Rastamouse, with DHX Media promising even more deals to come in the following weeks.
New licensees include Vogue (melamine, clocks, room décor); Zap (bedding); MV Sports (outdoor toys); Somerbond (underwear and nightwear); and Their Nibs (children's sleepwear, which will be sold through its store, as well as Selfridges and John Lewis).
Further afield, Stella Projects has been appointed as the Australian and New Zealand licensing agent for the property.
The firm will be appointing local licensees to complement EMI, which has the music rights for the region - and ABC Commercial, which is developing the Rastamouse DVD in Australia.
"We are delighted to have these new partners on board as we roll out the UK licensing programme for Rastamouse and Da Easy Crew," said Angeles Blanco, director of licensing at DHX Media. "The property is going from strength to strength with consistently high ratings on Cbeebies and the iPlayers and a strong social media presence.
"We're looking to build momentum with the recent toy launch in the UK, followed by new products in 2012, and to welcoming new partners in Australia through Stella Projects. There will be further deals announced in the coming weeks."
