DHX Media has acquired the rights for TV show Yo Gabba Gabba, which was previously managed by Zodia Rights.
DHX has assumed all of the international broadcast and licensing rights for the pre-school property.
The show is produced by W!ldbrain Entertainment, which is a subsidiary of DHX Media, so DHX has effectively brought the show's rights in-house.
Steven DeNure, President and COO of DHX Media, said: “It’s a natural step for us to bring the international rights to Yo Gabba Gabba! in-house where we have the distribution and licensing resources to manage the brand globally.
“We would like to thank Zodiak Rights for their contribution in building the international brand to date, and we are now focused on boosting the presence of Gabba in its existing territories as well as extending its reach into new markets.”
Yo Gabba Gabba is an award-winning live action TV series and live stage show that has become a hit with pre-schoolers, parents and indie music fans. It has a consumer products programme in the US that boasts over 40 major licensees, including a master toy licence.

It’s in its fourth season in the US, where it airs multiple times per day on the Nick Jr channel.
