DHX Media hires Angeles Blanco

Former Zodiak, Granada Ventures and CPLG exec joins as director of licensing.

DHX Media has welcomed a new director of licensing in the form of Angeles Blanco.

Blanco joins the firm from Zodiak Rights, where she was head of international licensing.

In her new role, she will oversee consumer products development in all territories except for North America, and will be based out of the firm's London office.

"As our television properties continue to gain momentum in domestic and international markets, and the demand for consumer products for these properties continues to grow, we are adding Angeles to our licensing and consumer products team," said Michael Polis, president of Wildbrain Entertainment and EVP, branded entertainment and consumer products at DHX.

"Angeles has a great track record in the family entertainment content business and is the right choice to drive our licensing and consumer products business forward internationally."

Prior to Zodiak Rights, Blanco was international licensing manager at Granada Ventures and, before that, European brand manager at CPLG.
