Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid and Pajanimals are fast approaching evergreen status across the globe, according to The Jim Henson Company.
The production firm made the statement after revealing a swathe of new global broadcast partnerships for the popular pre-school trio.
Jim Henson Co. has now signed multiple deals for the three hit series, taking Dinoasaur Train, Sid the Science Kid and Pajanimals to key territories, including Europe, Canada and Latin America.
Dinosaur Train is the first to take further global strides, including in Europe where Buena Vista has acquired seasons three and four for the Disney Channel in Germany.
Meanwhile, Watchever GmbH has licensed season two of the show for Austria, Germany and Switzerland; France’s cable and satellite provider Multithematiques has acquired season three and Greece’s ERT has picked up the first season of the pre-school series.
In Canada, season three of Dinosaur Train has been licensed to TFO while seasons three and four head to Knowledge Network.
The Jim Henson Company has also secured a raft of deals for Dinosaur Train with broadcasters in the Middle East and Africa as well as Brazil.
Hit series, Sid the Science Kid has seen similar global success and has now been licensed to Singapore’s Mediacorp as well as Japan’s Nagase Brothers Inc.
Emirates Cable TV and Multimedia has acquired SVOD rights to season two of the series for the United Arab Emirates, while also renewing season one and Greece’s ERT has picked up rights to season one.
In Latin America, TV Film International has picked up rights to season one for Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Dominian Republic, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
Finally, Pajanimals has been acquired by Finland’s MTV Oy, as well as Greece’s ERT, Thailand’s POD Worldwide and Brazil’s Swen Entretenimientos.
