Disney backs Ready For Bed week

Licensee Worlds Apart gets support for charity from Princess brand.

Worlds Apart recently joined forces with Disney to help raise the profile of Ready For Bed week.

The week of activity was to support the charity Sleeping Children Around the World, which provides bed kits for children in underdeveloped countries who don't have a comfortable place to sleep.

Worlds Apart enlisted the help of six year-old Sophia from Canada, who made a video for YouTube last year about Ready For Bed week. The Ready Room Disney Princess Bed and furniture was set up in London's Trafalgar Square after the firm invited Sophia to the capital. She was given the task of seeking out celebrities to help spread the word about the charity.

Ready For Bed week was created to support the Ready Room range of beds, storage and furniture, offering parents hints and tips to help make bedtime fun, while sticking to a sensible routine.

Speaking about the campaign, the firm's Andy Cooper said: "Ready For Bed week has given us a great opportunity to highlight the benefits that the Ready Room range can bring to helping establish a good night time routine for young children that will hopefully last well into the teen years.

"Sophia has been a fantastic ambassador for the campaign and we are proud to have been able to support such a worthwhile cause along the way."
