Disney UK is set to offer a range of new personalised Star Wars stationery, mugs, posters and more in its partnership with Tesco.

Tesco first launched the range of personalised merchandise to coincide with the Christmas period and it proved extremely popular with customers.

On the back of this, personalised Star Wars merchandise will now remain a permanent option on the Tesco Direct website, with new products set to join the range over the coming months.

“We are seeing an increase in consumers wanting something special and personal to them or the person they are buying for, and not just in the Christmas buying season," said Mike Stagg, SVP, GM integrated retail UK/Ireland & E-Commerce EMEA at The Walt Disney Company.

"Our Star Wars personalised product range proved a huge success at Tesco and demonstrates the demand for more customisable products that allow fans to show their excitement and passion for franchises like this."

Rachel Wakley, head of licensing at Tesco, added: “We know customers love to personalise gifts and the Star Wars range has proved to be a big hit; where the choice of design and colourway, as well as the option to add messaging or names, has really delivered against the growing demand for more tailored, individual products.

"We are really excited to extend this range in 2016, to offer even greater choice and enjoyment”.
