Disney has detailed its upcoming slate of new animated features, including Finding Dory, Toy Story 4 and a new Jack and the Beanstalk movie.
Inspired by the classic fairytale, the Jack and the Beanstalk re-imagining features a 60ft tall, 11-year-old girl and will be directed by Nathan Greno, the man behind Disney’s Tangled.
Titled Gigantic, the new animated feature songs by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez who penned the hit song Let It go from Frozen.
Details of the upcoming film slate were revealed to attendees of this year’s D23 Expo fan convention in California.
Pixar also teased information about the fourth installment in the Toy Story series and the sequel to 2003’s Finding Nemo, Finding Dory.
John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios confirmed that Toy Story 4 will be a love story between Woody and Bo-Peep, while Finding Dory is scheduled for release in June next year and focuses on Dory – voiced by Ellen DeGeneres – as she tracks down her family.
It was also announced at the event that The Good Dinosaur will be released in November.
Elsewhere, the studio has also teased a collection of new posters for The Incredibles 2 and Cars 3, as well as a new poster for its live-action remake of The Jungle Book.
Release dates for the two animated sequels are still to be confirmed, while The Jungle Book is scheduled to hit screens next year.
