Disney has recognised the Lego Company as its global toy licensee of the year.
The global toy team at Disney Consumer Products reviewed and voted on more than 600 toy licensees. Lego was praised for its innovative construction ranges for Toy Story, Cars and Prince of Persia.
"We are extremely proud of the work we have done on the Disney range," said Fiona Wright, head of sales for Lego UK & Ireland. "It's worth over $200 million worldwide and we see the Lego-Disney collaboration as a vital part of our future."
Lego is planning growth of 28 per cent in 2011 for the Disney brand across four major product lines.
