Disney to bring Tower of Terror ride to the big screen

Disney is turning its Tower of Terror theme park ride into a new movie.

With a treament by Big Fish's John August, Deadline reports that the studio is now looking for a screenwriter to join the project.

The ride has previously been adapted for a TV movie back in 1997, but Tower of Terror will join the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean, Tomorrowland and the in development Jungle Cruise in making the leap from park to cinema screen.
