DQ Entertainment has revealed that Disney XD has acquired The Jungle Book.

The network will begin airing the 3D animation from June 11th to over 78 million US households.

DQE is working in collaboration with co-producers MoonScoop France, ZDF Group Germany and TF1 France in Europe on the broadcasting and home entertainment of The Jungle Book.

SMC Entertainment, meanwhile, has the TV, home video, licensing and merchandising rights in North America.

"We are honoured that The Jungle Book will soon be on Disney channels in the USA," said Tapaas Chakravarti, chairman and CEO of DQE Group. "Mowgli and his friends have found their rightful home and we are confident that they will continue to enthrall audiences in their new CGI avatars."
