John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Animation Studios, revealed the studios' upcoming film slate at a special event in London last week.

The news included Timothy Dalton joining the cast of Toy Story 3. The former James Bond will line-up alongside talent including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and Michael Keaton among others.

Toy Story 3 hits cinemas on June 18th 2010.

Meanwhile, singer/actress Mandy Moore will be the lead voice in Walt Disney Pictures' Rapunzel, alongside Zachary Levi (from TV series Chuck and Big Momma's House 2).

Cars 2 was also revealed, which will see Lightning McQueen and his friend Mater race across five countries - including England, Germany, Italy and Japan.

The fifth film in Disney's popular fairy film franchise will be Tinker Bell and the Race Through the Seasons. Veteran Disney writer/producer/director, Bobs Gannaway, is set to direct. Meanwhile, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is due for release on Blu-ray and DVD on October 27th.

Winnie the Pooh marks the first time in more than 35 years that a feature film staring the characters is being produced at Walt Disney Animation Studios. The movie is due in cinemas in spring 2011.

Finally, Unidentified Flying Mater is the latest in the series of Disney/Pixar animated shorts called Cars Toons. It will debut on Friday November 20th on Disney Channel, Disney XD and ABC Family. Additional shorts Monster Truck Mater, Heavy Metal Mater and Tokyo Mater will debut in 2010.
