DK Books tag teams with WWE for new wrestling titles

The multi-year deal will see 18 titles released including WWE 50: Celebrating 50 Years of Sport Entertainment and 30 Years of WrestleMania.

DK Publishing and the WWE have teamed up in a multi-year global deal to publish and market titles based the wrestling federation's biggest events and Superstars.

The tag team partnership will include up to 18 releases from the publishing house over three years, including two upcoming commemorative books: WWE 50: Celebrating 50 Years of Sports Entertainment and 30 Years of WrestleMania.

DK will also release a new line of children's books focusing on the careers of iconic names in the wrestling community, John Cena, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and other WWE Superstars, as well as sticker books, autobiographies and historical guides.

The agreement is a worldwide deal that will also include digital rights and various subsidiary rights.

Alex Allan, global publisher of DK, said: "The multi-year publishing partnership between WWE and DK will bring a diverse and exciting line of print and digital books to WWE fans."

Casey Collins, executive vice president, consumer products, WWE, added: "WWE is committed to delivering a wide array of content on many different platforms, and this partnership will give our fans another way to experience the greatest moments, events and Superstars in WWE history.

"With DK, we can build on the success of our popular WWE Encyclopedia and provide a variety of compelling content for years to come."

The deal was brokered by BradyGames.

Mike Degler, publisher of BradyGames, concluded: "Our new product line, WWE Books, will combine exciting content from WWE with DK's award-winning and visually stunning illustration and design."
