A feature-length 3D movie adaptation of Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds will premier in 2014.
The new film is aimed at a global audience and already has US scriptwriters working as part of its creative team.
The news comes as Dogtanian celebrates his 30th birthday today. The well-known TV series from BRB Internacional first hit the small screen on October 9th in 1982. It first aired on Spain’s Television Espanola before beingbroadcast in around 100 countries.
Dogtanian has been translated into more than 30 languages, airing on such channels as TVE’s Clan (Spain), the BBC (UK), TF1 (France), MBS (Japan), Sat 1 (Germany), Mediaset (Italy), RTP (Portugal) and Televisa (Mexico).
Today the brand has thousands of daily views on YouTube and has a presence on Facebook, Twitter and mobile devices. Viewers can watch the show for free in Spanish and English on BRBplay.com this week.
