A new collection of garden stakes, statuary, wind chimes and other accessories featuring Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer is being planned by Exhart, after it struck a deal with Nickelodeon.

The range is due to launch in autumn 2012.

"As leaders in our category, we feel that licensing with Nickelodeon will set us apart from our competition," said Michael Weiser, EVP of sales and marketing at Exhart. "Dora and Spongebob are evergreen properties and a perfect match for our target demographic."

Hal Snik, SVP, soft lines licensing at Nickelodeon, added: "We are pleased to partner with Exhart on this exciting new line of garden products and accessories, featuring Dora and Spongebob. This is a great opportunity for fans to interact with their favourite characters while spending time outdoors."
