BKN property Dork Hunters from Outer Space has got off to a solid start in its Sunday morning slot on GMTV's Toonattik block.
The comedy series is the number one performing show in its time slot since launch, according to BKN. For children aged four to nine, Dork Hunters achieved an average share of 14.8 per cent, the highest share in that particular time slot on Sunday.
BKN says the show has proven to be the best show on all channels for four to nine year-olds in its time slot, and the second best show for the same age range on all channels between 0725 and 0925 on Sunday in the UK.
This news follows the solid start on South Africa's SABC1 channel last month (click here for story), and the series is continuing to show growth on the station, increasing in the fourth week on air to a 43.3 per cent share of kids, the highest since launch.
"We are seeing a pattern developing from Spain in the spring to South Africa in the summer and now to the UK in the early fall," said Nicola Andrews, MD at BKN New Media, "and they all point to kids worldwide loving the storyline and characters and humour.
"We are very excited with these early signs and this is only the beginning. We are looking forward to a very successful 2009 as we evolve the brand with the implementation of our licensing activities."
