Dr Seuss Enterprises eyes EMEA growth with CPLG leading its new programme

The licensing agent will focus on gifting, apparel, stationery and toys. It will target both adults who grew up with the author’s books as well as a new generation of children.

CPLG has been named the EMEA licensing agent for the popular Dr Seuss franchise, spanning titles like The Cat in the Hat, how the Grinch Stole Christmas, Green Eggs and Ham and The Lorax.

CPLG will expand the Dr Seuss licensing programme through the region on behalf of the licensor Dr Seuss Enterprises, with a focus on gifting, apparel, stationery and toys. It will target both adults who grew up with the author’s books as well as a new generation of children.

Dr Seuss, born Theodor Geisel in 1904, published his first book in 1937. Over the following years, he wrote and illustrated 45 books, sold over 650 million copies in 95 countries and saw his titles translated into 30 languages.

Susan Brandt, president of Dr Seuss Enterprises, said: “CPLG’s expertise in developing classic brands that appeal to a wide demographic makes them the ideal agent ot extend Dr Seuss’ reach throughout the EMEA.
