DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc.’s chief creative officer, Bill Damaschke, is stepping down from his role in a reshuffle of the firm’s creative ranks.

Veteran producers Bonnie Arnold and Mireille Soria will take over as co-presidents of feature animation, the studio revealed on Sunday, January 4th.

The Wall Street Journal suggests that the move is part of the studio’s strategy to recover ground lost following box office disappointments Turbo and Mr. Peabody and Sherman.

Arnold and Soria are the lead producers behind two of the studio’s popular franchises, How to Train Your Dragon and Madagascar.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 amassed nearly $620 million world-wide, while Penguins of Madagascar – released in November 2014 – has grossed $78 million so far.
