A new animated children's TV series produced by Cookie Jar Entertainment, Hurray for Huckle is ready to be launched internationally with DRi appointed to handle the UK licensing rights.
The show is inspired by the work of best selling children's author Richard Scarry, whose career includes the sale of more than 150 million books worldwide, translated into 30 different languages.
Hurray for Huckle offers a blend of humour and learning, following six friends attempting to solve a variety of mysteries in Busytown. It was launched in Canada on Kids' CBC last year and there are 26 half-hour episodes in season one.
"Richard Scarry is such a well-respected international children's author, it's a privilege to be working with Cookie Jar and representing Hurray for Huckle here in the UK," said Alicia Davenport, DRi's licensing director.
"The new animation series fits perfectly with the other children's properties in our portfolio. Hurray for Huckle is colourful, fresh and fun and we are extremely excited to see the reaction as the series is rolled out over the coming months."
