DRi boosts Madeleine Floyd programme

Strong sales already reported as new licensees sign up and new products launch.

DRi Licensing is continuing to build the licensing programme for artist Madeleine Floyd, with one of her signature designs, Birdsong, taking a starring role.

Jarrolds has been licensed for a range of gift stationery, set to launch in spring 2011. The collection, which features Birdsong for launch, will include notebooks, address books, diaries, calendars and photo albums.

Meanwhile, in the homewares area, Hudson and Middleton launched its Birdsong breakfast set in the spring, as well as a collection of six mugs featuring some of the artist's other animal designs.

Ulster Weavers' Birdsong kitchen textiles line is also a hit, with a second design - How Does Your Garden Grow? - just launched.

"We are delighted to be welcoming new licensees to the programme and extremely excited about the developments in-store for the coming months," said Alicia Davenport, licensing director at DRi. "Madeleine's ranges continue to fly out of stores, and it is fantastic to see how her unique style of illustration translates so beautifully onto so many materials and products."
