A range of Licensed Duchess of Northumberland books and clothing will launch next year.
DCD Publishing has signed licensing deals for the creator of Alnwick Castle's Poison Garden, The Duchess of Northumberland.
The History Press will publish two new gift books in early summer 2013: The The Duchess of Northumberland's Little Book of Preserves and Jams, and The Duchess of Northumberland's Little Book of Poisons and Potions.
Further titles based on archive material housed at 700-year-old Alnwick Castle will follow, including those focusing on farming, shooting, history, cookery and gardening.
Finally, Alan Paine will produce a range of branded Duchess of Northumberland country clothing. The Duchess Collection is in development for autumn/winter 2013 and will include new garments, designs and fabrics.
This follows the launch of the Capsule Collection earlier this year, which includes ladies knitwear, jackets, skirts and waistcoats.
James Hinton, Managing Director, Alan Paine Knitwear Ltd, said: "The Alan Paine brand is well-known worldwide for quality knitwear and country wear. When the opportunity arose to collaborate with the Duchess of Northumberland we embraced it wholeheartedly."
Adrian Sington, CEO, DCD Publishing, added: “We are delighted with these first deals that form part of a major brand strategy, combining the licences from the Duchess of Northumberland into a potent new presence in the licensing marketplace, both nationally and internationally."
