Video games publisher THQ is building on its existing relationship with Dreamworks, working on a number of console titles for the upcoming Megamind.
The games - due to launch in November to coincide with the movie - are for Microsoft's Xbox 360, Sony's PlayStation 3 and PSP, plus Nintendo's Wii and DS devices.
"We're extremely excited to kick off our new collaboration with THQ on the Megamind game," said Kerry Phelan, head of worldwide consumer products at Dreamworks Animation. "We're very impressed with how the THQ team got so immersed into the world of Megamind and translated our film in so many new and exciting ways into the interactive game space."
Martin Good, EVP of kids, family, casual games and online global services at THQ, added: "These new games will extend the movie experience for fans by presenting gamers of all ages with high energy, multi-faceted gameplay that immerses them into the humorous world of this new superhero property."
