Electronic Arts' Casual Entertainment label and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment will be working together again for the launch of a new video game based on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
The game launch will coincide with the arrival of the film version of the sixth book in JK Rowling's series.
The title - which is being developed by EA Bright Light Studio - will be released on Nintendo's Wii and DS systems, plus Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PS2, PSP and PS3 consoles. Mac, PC and mobile versions will also be available.
"We believe that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game represents a milestone in the movie tie-in genre," said Harvey Elliot, head of EA Bright Light Studio in the UK. "The team here is working closely with the filmmakers to create an immersive interactive experience that captures the story, the action, the excitement and, above all, the fun of the film."
Scott Johnson, VP of business development at Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, added: "Working with EA, we look forward to offering fans a compelling Harry Potter video game, one which captures the thrilling storyline and high visual quality of the movie."
