DRi Licensing is looking to give the Edward Monkton brand a further boost - with a raft of new product launches set to take place at Spring Fair next week.
The brand is already a strong performer in greetings cards, books and gifts.
New products launching include bookmarks and keyrings from That Company Called If, a ceramic homewares line from David Mason Design and a new gift book from Harper Collins. Called Love Monkey, it is due for release in time for Valentine's Day.
Visitors to Spring Fair - which runs from February 7th to 11th at Birmingham's NEC - will also see Edward Monkton peppermint and lipbalm tins from Find the Three Daughters, chocolate and sugar confectionery from Créme D'Or and gift wrap, bags and tags from Penny Kennedy.
Alicia Davenport, licensing director at DRi, said: "Edward Monkton enjoys great popularity and its fan base seems to keep on growing. We're delighted with the success of the property since taking over the licensing programme last year and we are very excited about the wealth of opportunities lined up for 2010."
Since the property's launch in 2003, more than three million greetings cards and 500,000 books featuring the character have sold in the UK.
