Egmont lands Generator Rex deal

Licensing programme for Cartoon Network series steps up a gear as publishing deal signed.

Egmont has signed a publishing deal in the UK with Turner CN Enterprises for its latest property, Generator Rex.

The agreement will see the firm roll out a range including character fiction, activity books, annuals, personalised books, children's magazines and digital formats from July.

"Generator Rex is a fantastic property full of exciting stories and characters and we are looking forward to translating this wonderful show to print," said David Riley, MD of Egmont Publishing Group.

Graham Saltmarsh, UK licensing director at Turner CNE, added: "Generator Rex has launched successfully in the UK and we are delighted to be expanding the show's franchise with Egmont's broad and exciting range of publishing products."

Other Generator Rex licensees include global toy partner Mattel and video games publisher, Activision.
