Egmont Creative Center is to launch a one off publication to tie in with the release of the new Muppets movie across Europe from January 2012.
The Muppets Magazine will initially be distributed in Germany and parts of Eastern Europe. It will be targeted at teens, with the 36-page title including a mix of comic pages, quizzes, profiles, activities, facts and jokes.
"We are excited to have this opportunity to expand on the story line and audience appeal with the Muppets Magazine," commented Lone Jochumsen, editor in chief at ECC. "These lovable characters have a long history of pleasing audiences of all ages and across all cultures.
"Teens are a perfect audience for our publication. The Muppets are nostalgic for them - a good memory from their childhood. The magazine builds on the characters teens love and helps bring the story of the movie to life."
