Egmont Magazines is rebranding its Disney Fairies magazine - a move which will see the title renamed as Tinker Bell.
The new magazine is intended to tie in with the DVD release of Tinker Bell, the first of four upcoming animated film launches from Walt Disney Pictures. In addition to being renamed, the title will feature fresh artwork, stories and characters to tie in with the new Disney films.
Aimed at five to seven year olds, Tinker Bell will have a monthly frequency and will be priced at £2.50.
The first issue will be on sale from Wednesday November 19th and will have an initial print run of 80,000. Priced at £2.75, it will be covermounted with free Tinker Bell shoes and incorporate a card insert containing make and do cut outs and games. Content will include a meet the characters feature, puzzles, quizzes and a 14-page story.
"Disney Fairies is an enormously strong Disney property and the relaunch of this new Tinker Bell magazine reflects the development and growth of the brand," explained Alison David, commercial director at Egmont. "Our readers are sure to enjoy the fresh new artwork and brand new adventures for their favourite fairies."
