Specialist children's publisher, Egmont UK, has signed a three-year deal with Warner Bros Consumer Products to publish a new range of books from the world of Hanna-Barbera.
As part of the deal, Egmont is creating a humourous book line from a portfolio that includes over 20 TV shows and 50 characters, from Atom Ant through to Yogi Bear.
The range includes a How to be Dastardly manual and a Guide to Life, featuring a number of characters from Wacky Races, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Touché Turtle and Top Cat.
"Classic characters like Dick Dastardly, Yogi Bear and Top Cat have really stood the test of time," said Tim Jones, brand manager at Egmont Publishing. "We're looking forward to introducing a whole new legion of fans to their antics through this fantastic range of books, as well as giving existing fans a lot to laugh about in the run up to Christmas."
