Endemol Shine launches licensing push for Peaky Blinders

The group is to pursue off-air opportunities with scripted brands for the epic gangster drama.

Global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group has announced the launch of global brand licensing and ancillary rights to the award-winning gangster drama Peaky Blinders.

The partnership with award-winning show creator Steven Knight and producers Caryn Mandabach Productions and Tiger Aspect Productions, will see Endemol Shine Group’s Brand Licensing team represent a range of global ancillary rights for Peaky Blinders including gaming and publishing.

Produced in the UK for BBC Two, the show is sold globally by Endemol Shine across 182 countries, including airing on Netflix.

The Endemol Shine Brand Licensing teams will extend the lifecycle of the brand off-air, using the Group’s multi-territory reach and expertise in global brand management to drive local and global deals for the critically acclaimed property.

With a cast led by Cillian Murphy (Dunkirk, Inception), Peaky Blinders has won critical acclaim, scooping five BAFTA TV Craft awards and receiving a nomination for Best Drama Series at the BAFTAs. A fifth series has been confirmed for 2019.

Peaky Blinders will be featured at Endemol Shine North America’s booth (Q226) at the upcoming Licensing Expo 22-24 May 2018 in Las Vegas.

Endemol Shine Group control brand licensing rights to some of the most recognisable and creative IP in the world including MasterChef, Deal or No Deal, Big Brother, Simon’s Cat, Mr Bean, Money Drop and Fear Factor.
